Dr. Stuckert was born in Emsworth, less than 10 miles from his current office, where he spent his childhood. He later moved to the South Hills and graduated from Upper St. Clair High School in 1999.
He remembers riding the bus with his mom to the Carnegie Children’s Library, and after seeing the Cathedral of Learning, he knew he wanted to attend Pitt. At the University of Pittsburgh he majored in neuroscience and graduated in 2003.
Following his undergraduate studies he attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Between his third and fourth years of medical school he spent a dedicated year pursuing melanoma research at Hillman Cancer Center with Dr. John Kirkwood. It was during this year working with oncologists, dermatologists and surgeons that Dr. Stuckert developed a deep interest in skin cancer and specifically melanoma.
Dr. Stuckert then completed his dermatology residency at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals of Cleveland. He moved back to Pittsburgh to be close to his mom who was undergoing cancer treatment.
He spent the first ten years of his career practicing general medical dermatology and dermatological surgery in Monroeville. He thoroughly enjoyed developing personal relationships with his patients and caring for them over many years.
Dr. Stuckert moved back to the North Hills in 2015 where he lives with his wife, twin boys, Joey and Max, and youngest son Titus. It is a busy season for his household right now. Dr. Stuckert is excited to open his own dermatology practice and be close to his family. And he and his wife are expecting their fourth son in April 2024!
In his free time he enjoys taking hikes in remote wilderness with his wife, climbing mountains under star light, and enjoying the diverse restaurants of Pittsburgh. Then he and his wife decided to have a lot of children. He now enjoys peacefully mowing his lawn, rough housing with his boys, and dressing up with his family for Halloween.
